Why I’m Moving To Oklahoma

I’m leaving my native state and where I’ve spent the majority of my life. I refuse to live under Democratic tyranny and I refuse to let my productive labor in the form of taxes go to support their government.

2020 Colorado Voter’s Guide

This year, radio host Kim Monson and I teamed up to write a Voter’s Guide for Colorado voters. Click here to download a PDF version. Click here to listen to our podcast. This election is likely to be one of […]

Other Voices Against FAMLI

One of the hottest debates in Colorado and the nation at large today is about paid family and medical leave (FAMLI) insurance programs. There is currently a ballot question in Colorado called Proposition #118 – Paid Family Medical Leave Insurance […]

Anarchy vs Tyranny

This bill was cobbled together hastily in an emotional response to a tragic event. It was crafted without any stakeholder input from the law enforcement community, citizens or anyone other than progressive activists in the waning days of a legislative session that was truncated due to a pandemic and should actually be over. It is ill-conceived and would be illegitimate.

Why Budgets Matter

On Friday, July 19, 2019 I wrote a blog post for Kim Monson of Americhicks and went on her radio show to discuss Colorado’s Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR) and why it matters. Here is the link to the blog […]

The Progressive Advantage – Money

“With the click of a mouse, Tim Gill can activate dozens of donors around the country to target competitive state and local races,” she said, believing he coordinated contributions to seven legislative races that led to the flipping of the […]

More Objections to FAMLI

On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, during a raging “bomb cyclone” of a blizzard that claimed at least one life, Colorado Democrats held a hearing on SB 19-188, the Family and Medical Leave Insurance program. I had planned to attend the […]

Say No to FAMLI

On March 7th, halfway through a session full of terrible legislation, the Colorado Senate Democrats led by Faith Winter (D-Westminster), dropped Senate Bill 19-188, a bill for the creation of a Family and Medical Leave Insurance Program (FAMLI). Senator Winter […]

Words Mean Things

Therefore, when a Democrat in the General Assembly asserts that HB 19-1177 is “constitutional”, he is either lying intentionally or inadvertently misleading through ignorance. Either way, simply asserting a thing to be true doesn’t make it so. An “unconstitutional” law is also an “illegal” law, since the determination of legality derives from the constitution.

Red Flag of Doom

This illegal bill is being heard before the Colorado House Judiciary Committee at 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 21 in the Old State Library room. Because the notice was less than a week, I know many gun rights advocates will not be able to take off time from work to travel to the capitol and sit around for hours waiting to testify for three minutes. However, you can and should let the legislators on the Judiciary Committee know of your strong opposition. Their email addresses are provided below. Talk to your friends and let your thoughts be known on social media – Twitter in the #copolitics and #coleg hashtags, on Facebook and via letters to editors and journalists.
