A Grateful Nation Remembers

Last night I watched the National Memorial Day Concert on PBS. I was humbled and deeply moved by the stories of lives lost, lives changed forever from horrible injuries, and the grief and sadness of those left behind.

While to many people Memorial Day is the “unofficial start of summer”, I remember and respect the meaning of the holiday and what it represents.

It is in the spirit of utmost gratitude that I say “Thank You” to all military service members, past and present, especially those who have lost their lives or loved ones serving in uniform. Your service is appreciated and your sacrifice is not forgotten.
